Volunteering
The library is currently recruiting for volunteers who can help with processing new materials, checking in, and shelving. See below how to apply.
We are able to offer our current library services thanks to the help of our volunteers. Volunteers contribute 100+ workhours every week to keep the library running.
Some volunteer duties include:
- checking in items
- shelving
- organizing and arranging items on the shelves
- finding items that patrons have placed on hold
- processing and preparing new books, CDs, and DVDs
- repairing worn and damaged materials
Volunteers are also asked occasionally to help with special projects.
The library typically needs volunteers who are able to commit to at least 1 hour per week for 6 months or longer. Youth 14 years and older are welcome to apply.
