Borrow eBooks and Streaming at Home

Your Washington County Cooperative Library Services card works online the same way it works inside West Slope Community Library. This guide covers the digital services many patrons use from home, and points you to staff when something will not load.

Step 1: Sign in to the catalog

Use the Search the Catalog link in the site menu under Borrow. Enter your library card number and PIN. If you need a PIN reset, call the branch or stop by during the hours on our Current Services page.

Step 2: Download eBooks and audiobooks

OverDrive and the Libby app hold the county shared collection. After you sign in, you can place holds, borrow, and return digital titles without visiting a building. Loan lengths and hold queues follow the rules posted on wccls.org.

Step 3: Watch films with Kanopy

Kanopy carries documentaries and independent film. WCCLS sets monthly streaming credits. Link your Kanopy account with the same library card, then watch in a browser or the Kanopy app.

Step 4: Get personal help

If an app errors out or a tablet blocks a download, book time through Book a Librarian. For time limits on public PCs and room noise, read Quiet study and public computers. To support extras for the branch, see Friends of the Library and giving. Return to the library home page for events and directions.

Online magazines, research collections, and language tools are listed on the county Research and Learn pages. Sign in with the same library card you use at West Slope.
